Brownfield Property Redevelopment

Project Highlights:

• Brownfield redevelopment of a 3.5-acre site, including site preparation and remediation activities to support future reuse and development.
• Project goals included excavating the store to a minimum depth of 2 feet and importing and placing a minimum 1-foot soil cover across the entire site.
• Installed high-visibility demarcation fabric across the 150,000-square-foot excavation surface.
• Imported and placed 11,379 tons of clean fill across the site, including backfilling a former basement area.
• Excavation and backfilling were conducted using GPS equipment.
• Removed and exported 10,735 tons of non-hazardous soil from the site for off-site disposal.
• Removed 2,000 LF of site perimeter fencing.
• Removed four abandoned groundwater monitoring wells.
