Assistant Project Manager

SES is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Owego, NY office to support senior staff and ongoing project operations. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing documentation, tracking budgets, and helping ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop project submittals (Work Plans, Health & Safety Plans, Demolition Plans, etc.)
  • Support project closeout documentation and deliverables
  • Review project documents, including drawings, specifications, and constructability considerations
  • Support estimators and project managers with value engineering and project planning
  • Assist with estimating and proposal preparation
  • Coordinate project schedules with Site Supervisors, including materials and equipment deliveries
  • Track project costs, budgets, and other project information; report updates to senior management
  • Participate in client and subcontractor meetings, track and document key information
  • Attend project pre-bid meetings and assist in evaluating new business opportunities
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with company and government safety standards
  • Prepare vendor and subcontractor agreements and assist with procurement processes
  • Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes
  • Review vendor and subcontractor invoices

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience or an associate’s degree with 3-4 years or relevant experience is preferred (Construction Management, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Adobe)
  • Experience with scheduling/estimating software (MS Project, Bid2Win, etc.) is a plus
  • Background in environmental, demolition, transportation, or engineering industries preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and integrity
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

Benefits:

  • Compensation Range: $45,000-$65,000
  • Compensation Commensurate with Experience

Schedule:

  • Full time
  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
