Excavation and installation of a drainage pipe and retention pond to store surface water runoff!
Sessler Environmental Services was contracted by a metal recycling facility to excavate and install a drainage pipe and retention pond to store surface water runoff. SES’s first task was to create the retention pond. Because of our GPS guided equipment, we were able to give a more precise finish without the need for survey crews to be onsite. This resulted in a lower cost to our client.
Once the pond Excavation was completed, we utilized a crane to set the concrete structures in their specified locations to allow for proper pump and float operations. Once the structures were set, we installed a 40-mil liner. The liner is used to ensure proper water retention. SES created the drainage swale and installed over 300 feet of drainage pipe and 7 catch basins, to drain the surface water to the retention pond.
SES then performed a start-up on the pump and also conducted training on the new system. As always, Sessler Environmental Services will have our clients’ budget and intentions in mind while we keep the environment safe!
