Pre-Demolition Asbestos Abatement, Western New York
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
Friable asbestos abatement of fifteen of the sixteen apartment buildings

SES was hired by a local contractor to perform asbestos abatement on a vast dormitory building before its demolition. The project covered approximately 464,000 square feet, with apartments ranging from 8,000 to 15,000 square feet. There was a significant task of removing approximately 500,000 square feet of friable asbestos-covered drywall, all within a tightly compressed schedule.
While on-site for abatement, SES identified additional tasks, including gyp board removal and ceiling abatement, which were also completed within the accelerated timeframe. The material was loaded into permitted vehicles and transported off-site using nonhazardous and hazardous waste manifests to approved designated facilities.
SES accomplished this substantial cleanup within just two months, as per the customer’s request.
