Hamilton College Pool, Hamilton, New York

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Removal of components of an Olympic-sized swimming pool
  • Use of a 63″ saw blade to remove 380 feet of 2′ x 2′ gutter system comprised of concrete and stainless steel

Sessler Environmental Services (SES) undertook the removal of an Olympic-sized swimming pool’s components, including the gutter systems, drains, concrete slabs, tile, and stainless steel bulkhead. Various machinery like skid steers, excavators, and saw-cutting equipment were utilized indoors. Demolishing the 380-foot gutter system required a 63″ saw blade. The project demanded careful temporary protection, slurry management, and containment as the pool was only partially drained to prevent contamination.
