Grocery Store Fire Clean-Up

Project Location: Geneva, New York

Project Highlights:

• Performed controlled demolition of a fire-damaged, condemned grocery store building containing asbestos.
• Installed a cofferdam and diverted an active freshwater stream through piping during demolition to protect the waterway from contamination and debris.
• Protected an adjacent home and its retaining wall from collapse during demolition activities.
• Left the CMU single-story laundromat addition in place.
• Backfilled the basement and regraded the entire site, leaving the area spanning the stream open.
